About Heanney

A Note From Our Founder

Dear mama,

The YANA Method was born from one of the most challenging yet transformative experiences of my life. Like many modern mothers, I found myself overwhelmed by the waves of postnatal depression after my second born, Kai. During this difficult time, breathwork became my lifeline. What began as a simple curiosity blossomed into a profound passion as I discovered its significant impact on the nervous system.

With over nine years of coaching experience in health and wellness, I have dedicated myself to supporting women's well-being. I coach women in cultivating sustainable, nurturing habits that optimise health and foster personal growth. This journey has been deeply personal as well as professional. Becoming a certified breathwork facilitator not only helped me heal from my own postpartum struggles but also ignited a fire within me to empower other mothers to discover their inner strength while experiencing life through a regulated nervous system.

The YANA Method stands for "You Are Not Alone," embodying my belief that no mother should navigate this journey in solitude. My hope is that this platform becomes your mental and emotional wellness ritual, strengthening your mindset and helping you feel less alone in your journey through this beautiful wild ride we call motherhood.

With Love & Gratitude,

Heanney

  • "I loved my online session with Heanney. The day of our zoom session I'd had a super busy morning with my kids and a busy afternoon with work. I came into the session a little flustered but Heanny immediately put me at ease with her calm and grounding nature. The session felt very fluid and I felt connected early on as Heanny shared her own motherhood journey. The breathwork session was wonderful, I was fully guided and supported by Heanny and didnt feel lost. And by the end I felt so much more calm than I did coming into the session. I highly recommend Heanny to anyone but especially to any Mums who are struggling with calming their nervous systems."

  • “Thank you so much for such wonderful Breathwork practice this morning. Words can’t describe how much I’ve enjoyed it. This is the 2nd time I practiced breathwork with you. I felt a lot easier and connected this time when we breathed through our mouth. I was fully present and connected to my breath and body the whole time. I also felt tremendous feeling of released at the end. It was such an empowering way to regulate my nervous system."

  • "I want to express my happiness and gratitude for your protective and loving energy to hold space for last Saturday. It’s my first time trying breathwork, since I have read some article about it before , and i’m happy that finally the universe brings me to this suitable and safe circle for my first try. I am still processing the body sensation and emotion flow these two days , I cried a bit during shower time and slept a whole day on Sunday. I known it’s part of the process and just allow my body to rest and be grounded. Thank you and I would like to try more breathwork with you."

  • “Today’s breathwork session was a first for me, so thanks so much Heanney for making the space we shared safe and open. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about what breathing properly is and what it can do for me, and am grateful for the opportunity to experience that awesome supply of oxygen at the cellular level. This afternoon after the session I feel more in tune with my body than ever and a deep sense of how, through breath work, I can just ‘be’ in my body and not in my mind. I didn’t think I had it in me, but I do. Thank you for helping me see (and feel) that!”
