My Story & Why I Created This Program
I built Body Love & Freedom from my own rock-bottom… and rebirth as a mother.
Before kids, I was:
10kg heavier
Eating “clean” on restrictive diets
Working out 5–7 days a week
Doing everything “right” — yet seeing no real change
Underneath ran constant thoughts:
“You’re not good enough.”
“You should be smaller by now.”
“You always fall off.”
“Other women can do it. Why can’t you?”
I didn’t trust myself or my body. Habits built on stress, fear, and self-judgment.
Then came two pregnancies. My body, priorities, time, and energy changed.
Post-birth, I:
Didn’t recognise my body in the mirror
Felt guilty wanting change when I was “supposed” to be grateful
Put everyone else first
Ate easy options (often kids’ leftovers)
Collapsed at night — touched out, overstimulated — reaching for snacks, wine, or my phone
Old punishing approaches became impossible. I lacked bandwidth for restrictive plans.
That’s when these tools became non-negotiable:
I learned my nervous system stayed on high alert from night wakes, mental load, work, and caring
I understood hormones, pregnancies, and life stage impacting mood, energy, cravings, body composition
I ditched “perfect” routines for science-backed habits fitting mum-life
I used breathwork and regulation tools in real moments (car, bedtime, between tasks) instead of food/screens
Most importantly, I reconnected and fell in love with my new body — the one that carried babies, looked different, felt softer yet stronger and wiser.
I learned to:
Listen to body signals instead of overriding them
Respect energy (not perform like in my 20s)
Work with hormones, cycle, peri/meno shifts, and demands
See my body as a partner to care for, not a project to fix
Physical changes came, but the internal shift was biggest: less head war, more trust, kindness, and supportive habits.
